The original builder of the house is unknown at the time of writing, but the existing documents show that the house was sold first time in 1853 by the master painter Johan Erik Stendahl. Since then, almost all the original documents for the house have been preserved by the current owner. All existing information is therefore based on these documents and their annexes. The house has a natural stone cellar, built in the 18th century and still in use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the master painter Johan Erik Stendahl, the owners of the house have included the bookkeeper Karl Josef Gr\u00f6nlund, the chauffeur Gustaf Konrad Wuorinen and Mrs Hulda Martens. The Martens family owned the house from 1917 to 1953, after which it was owned by the Sandelin family. In 1953 the house was bought by the present owner’s grandfather’s sister Saima Sundberg (n\u00e9e Sandelin), who later sold the house to her brother, policeman Tapio Sandelin. Tapio Sandelin was a police officer in Kristinestad from the early 1940s to the early 1960s. In 1990, his grandson bought the house and renovated it for his family. The family still lives in the house.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was a bakery on the farm until the 1930s, which served as a bakery. In the house there was a large baking oven and a small chamber. At that time, a family of more than 10 people lived in the cottage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Building history<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The house is a dwelling house built of timber with a basement of natural stone built on the rock. The building has a wooden floor and there are airy storage rooms under the floors. The building’s board lining was partially replaced in the early 1990s. The house was renovated by the Sandelin family in the 1950s and again in 1990-91, when all the insulation in the roof, walls and floor was replaced, the windows were replaced, the roof was replaced and a new outer porch was built. Water and sewage pipes, and indoor toilets, bathrooms and sauna were built. In 2000, a new outbuilding was built on the site, which houses an office, storage room and garage. A stone courtyard was built in 2005-2006.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1873<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maria Lovisa Sj\u00f6berg donated the house on 14.3.1873 to her foster daughter Elisabeth Fock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1901<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bookkeeper Karl Josef Gr\u00f6nlund bought the house from Elise Fock’s estate on 5.8.1901<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1902<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karl Josef Gr\u00f6nlund sold the house to Captain’s wife Fanny Kraepelin (see Krepelin, Casimir) 14.9.1902<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1916<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Captain’s wife Fanny Kraepelin sold the house to chauffeur Gustaf Konrad Wuorinen and his wife Lydia Maria Wuorinen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1917<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mrs Hulda Martens took over the house against debts from driver Gustaf Konrad Wuorinen and his wife Lydia Maria Wuorinen 2.1.1917.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1934<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accountant Kurt Martens and his wife Lempi Martens bought the house from the estate of Mrs Hulda Martens 18.6.1934.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1953<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The widow of dentist Richard Sundberg, Saima Wilhelmiina Sundberg, n\u00e9e Sandelin, bought the house from bank clerk Svea Sofia Martens, , and her sister, cashier Hellin Magdalena Norrg\u00e5rd and her husband, machine controller Caj Ernfrid Norrg\u00e5rd, 29.9.1953.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1957<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police officer Tapio Alexander Sandelin bought the house from his sister who had moved to America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1991<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tapio Alexander Sandelin’s grandson Sam Alexander Sandelin and his wife Paula P\u00e4ivikki Sandelin bought the farm on 4 October 1990. They still live in the farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
