In 1845, skipper Anders Henrik H\u00e4ggblad moved from Kaskinen to this plot. According to the fire insurance certificate, he built his house, which was originally plastered and painted white, on this plot in 1846.
According to a story, the house was transported here by sea from Kaskinen. Probably skipper H\u00e4ggblad himself brought his house (or some other house) from Kaskinen when he moved. On the way the transport encountered a thunderstorm and parts of the house, two rooms, were lost. This is said to have happened in 1867 (while the house according to the insurance is older, but the year can be wrong in the letters and in stories). This was told to the current owner (2023) by Captain St\u00e5hle in the summer of 1969. Her husband (father?) had been on the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
