He graduated as a captain in 1851. He made his first voyage in 1839 at the age of 11. He was captain 1866 on the schooner Amphion, 1867 on the schooner Axel, 1869-73 on the schooner Olga, 1880-82 on the bark ship Anto, 1885-87 on the ship Suomi. Compiled by Lena Sundvist
